What research use only (RUO) means
Research Use Only (RUO) identifies a laboratory reagent sold for in-vitro research, not for diagnosis, treatment, prevention, or use in people or animals.
What RUO includes
RUO buyers evaluate identity, purity, lot traceability, storage, and independent testing. A certificate of analysis documents the tested lot; it is not a clinical or safety assessment.
What RUO does not include
- No dosing, injection, reconstitution-for-human-use, or treatment instructions.
- No claims to diagnose, cure, mitigate, treat, or prevent disease.
- No consumer drug branding or substitute for professional judgment.
Use the Certificates of Analysis and Third-Party Testing pages to verify a reagent before laboratory work.
Sold as a laboratory reagent for in-vitro research use only (RUO). Not for human or veterinary use.
